The "Flip or Flop" star took to Instagram on Thursday to share a photo from his battle with cancer, reflecting on the toll the disease took on his "physical and mental health", and how he was able to move forward. "This took a major toll on my physical and mental health", he started in the caption of the picture.
As Celebrity Insider readers already know, Tarek El Moussa recently opened up about his struggle with thyroid cancer in an interview saying that "I went through hell".
"The last three years were the hardest of my life, I look back and still wonder how I survived", he said.
The Flip or Flop star wrote that while he "never quit" during his cancer battle, he 'wanted to thousands of times'.

El Moussa had mostly kept his battle with testicular cancer in hiding, and understandably not wanting to invite questions on the treatment he undergoes or the effect this could have on his ability to have children. He captioned the image, "I think this picture represents winning the war against my illnesses". "I'm proud to say I didn't quit and I'm in the best shape of my life!"
Nowadays, despite all the struggles he's had to face in the last three years, Tarek El Moussa claims he is finally truly happy.
In February, El Moussa told "Today" that, a month after he was told that he had thyroid cancer, he was also diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Tarek and Christina separated in May 2016 but did not publicly announce their breakup until December of previous year.

He told Today that he made a decision to come forward with his second diagnosis to raise awareness, knowing that his first battle helped others get diagnosed, as well.
