North Korean propaganda video threatens USA with missiles

North Korea's state media has threatened to turn the USA mainland into "ashes" with its "super-mighty preemptive strike" as the nuclear stand-off between Washington and the reclusive state continues.

As tensions continue to increase with North Korea, the USA military is moving quickly to put in place a missile shield it hopes will protect major urban centres here from a nuclear strike.

A Seoul foreign ministry official who spoke anonymously to local newspaper JoongAng Ilbo said the remark was "not even worth considering".
