Stockholm: Two arrested after truck-ramming attack

The British man killed in the attack was named as 41-year-old Chris Bevington by the British Government on Sunday night.

In a Sunday news conference, Stockholm police say the 39-year-old Uzbek national had applied for residency in 2014, but was denied just last year and ordered to leave the country.

The Swedish police arrested a 39-year-old Uzbek man on Friday evening as the suspected driver of the truck, and the officials are now questioning seven more people. "The migration agency rejected it in June 2016 and also decided that he was to be expelled", Mr Hysing said.

Ihrman and police spokesman Lars Bystrom said only one person had been arrested in the case.
