Brandin Cooks has only been a member of the Patriots for a few months, but he seems well aware of the winning culture that's already in place.
Cooks was acquired in March from New Orleans and is eager to show what he can do in New England. He's spent every free moment learning the plays and terminology in hopes that when training camp rolls around in July, he'll be all caught up in the new system.
On getting No. 10 from Jimmy Garoppolo: "No, I didn't try".
"We're on a mission", he said.
United States laptop ban could be extended to flights from UK
Authorities reportedly would institute the ban because of concerns that a bomb or explosive device could be concealed in a laptop. The move would extend a current ban on such devices on flights to the US from 10 airports in North Africa and the Middle East.
"It's awesome", Cooks told reporters. "I've kind of just been focused on what this playbook is and keeping my mind set on that".
"I look at him and thrive to be just like that. Obviously, the game on TV, he's unbelievable, but to see him now in person, in his study habits, is awesome".
All you New England Patriots fans celebrating your team's Super Bowl LI victory and big offseason have a little something else to be excited about today: Jersey numbers for new players! Yeah, I'll let you be the judge of that.
"A new journey, new opportunity, so I wanted something different", said Cooks.

He'll now wear No. 14 for the Patriots, doubling the No. 7 he wore during his college days at Oregon State. He is coming off back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons with 17 touchdowns over those two seasons. He'll join a strong receivers group that includes Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Chris Hogan, along with tight end Rob Gronkowski.
If he's raced any of his teammates to see who is fastest: "Nah, but that was probably one of the first things they talked about doing". Once Week 2 comes, that's what I'll be focused on.
"[I'm] trying to learn the offense as a whole, because I have no clue where I'll be put". "We're on a mission".
Still, Cooks explained on Tuesday that he wasn't focused on New England's Week 2 game in New Orleans as a matter of revenge.
