Top four fate will impact Liverpool FC's transfer plans

14 May 2017

Both those teams have a game in hand on Jurgen Klopp's men, who have faltered of late and could only manage a 0-0 home draw with Southampton last week.

The season is due to end on 21 May, but a certain set of events could mean an unheralded extra game for Arsenal and Liverpool who are battling it out for fourth position. They play very serious and finish when they have to finish.

However, Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge, who both came off the bench against Southampton, should be fit for selection. So for Liverpool, I don't know their expectations, I don't spend too much time thinking about it, but they are a big club and they have been there for the whole season.

West Ham are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with 42 points from 36 matches, while Liverpool are now third in the standings with 70 points from 36 games. Why has it taken thirty-six matches before they have looked like a complete team?

Guardiola sharpens knife for City clear out
City face Leicester City on Saturday looking for a win that will take them a step further towards guaranteeing a top-four finish. Guardiola's side will be seeking revenge for one of the lowest moments of their season.

The striker has not played a full 90 minutes for Liverpool all season, but impressed during a brief run-out as a substitute against Southampton and, having recovered from a hip problem, is likely to start at West Ham if Firmino is not risked.

As a result of what's been a shaky run of results, Liverpool have offered Arsenal a way back into the race for the Top 4 and should they falter at the London Stadium, their Champions League fate could be off their hands.

While the Reds are fighting for a top-four finish, Antonio Conte's side can lock down the league title with a win over West Brom on Friday. Well they have a good tactical manager, and are now 10th in the Premier League. The last time they remained unbeaten in the capital across an entire league season was in 1988-89.

"With arguably their best performance of the season, the Hammers not only demonstrated what they are capable of when everything is in sync, but also proved that the London Stadium can work to their advantage - if they harness the fervent atmosphere their huge new home can generate".

EPL: Magician David Silva key to Manchester City's Euro dream
When Gael Clichy felled Mahrez in the box and the playmaker converted from the spot, it looked like the Foxes had drawn level. Jamie Vardy leads the club in goals with 12, while Robert Huth and Kasper Schmeichel have been holding down the defense.

"We still have two games to play and we're very ambitious to climb up the table". They are the better team and they want the win a more than West Ham.

"I think the focus on the atmosphere has been largely overplayed this season - from what I could see and hear, the atmosphere against Spurs was awesome and the team played very well with a high tempo".

"Andy Carroll won't be able to play against Liverpool".
