ASUS Unveils New Thin-And-Light Laptops At Computex 2017

30 May 2017

Which would be ASUS with a generic series of announcements.

To suit various consumer demands, the ZenBook Flip S will come in different configurations. And by quickie, we mean, hands-on.

As a follow-up to the well-received Asus ZenBook Flip UX360, Asus appears to have improved on almost every aspect, while, crucially, maintaining the ZenBook Flip family's most compelling feature: a low price. In the case of the upcoming Flip S, which is set to hit the market soon, it's now considered the world's thinnest, Forbes reports.

It weighs just 4 pounds and features two USB Type-C ports (supporting Thunderbolt 3), two USB Type-A 3.1 ports, a microSD card reader, a full-sized HDMI 1.4, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It is also lighter with a heft of just 1.1kg, less than HP's 1.29kg and Apple's 1.35kg.

Sensex off record-high, falls 41 points in early trade
The key indices touched new intra-day highs, with the NSE Nifty scaling 9,622.30 points and the BSE Sensex 31,155.40 points. The National Stock Exchange index Nifty also slipped from record-high and shed 23.70 points, or 0.24 percent, to 9,581.20.

Asus ZenBook Pro has the new dual-fan setup which helps to down the temperatures. It is is also 10.9mm thin and is made from premium, aerospace-grade aluminum.

We don't now have a breakdown of how much the other configurations cost, but we'll update this review when we hear more. Saying that, it works perfectly well, slipping easily between modes with the flick of a wrist.

This innovative approach to cooling is required because the Flip S also comes with performance-focused hardware. Twisting the display in opposite directions at both sides gave us no cause for concern, as it felt sturdy and maintained considerable resistance. "As a consolation prize, the ZenBook Flip S does offer full keyboard backlighting".

Talk about a high-end PC that can turn into a tablet whenever you like. Asus notes that the Flip S can be configured with "up to" a 4K UHD display, with what the company calls "NanoEdge" technology, which seems to be just a fancy word for it having a thin bezel.

Missile test showed highly accurate warhead, says North Korea
It was the North's 12th ballistic missile test this year - carried out in defiance of United Nations sanctions. This, the agency revealed, was an indication that the North had launched a modified Scud missile.

What else can you expect?

Moving images appear sharp and, on first tests, the touchscreen commands seem very fluid. The highlight of the device being it can support resolutions of up to 4K. Its body has a 12.9mm thickness.

Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe (UX490): Again Asus has squeezed a larger display into a smaller form factor. These specs guarantee a smooth and fast performance.

Asus claims it's able to handle 20,000 open and close cycles, so it should last its lifetime in the average user's hands. We are looking forward to seeing how true these claims are when we review the ZenBook Flip S over a longer period of time.

The display also supports active stylus input, making it easy to jot things down, take notes, or make annotations.

G-7 leaders in Italy get tricolor flyover
Just like his position on the European Union , the president has recently shifted gears, praising NATO's necessity. Police were also stopping buses and searching them, he said."They are criminalising our dissent", Giordano said.
