Apple just overhauled their entire iMac lineup with better graphics, faster processors, and a killer new display. But the headline is the 21.5-inch iMac includes a 4K Display for $200 less than the previous generation. Even here, the laptops are processed with the Intel Kaby Lake processor; 128GB ECC RAM; 4TB SSD (3GB/s); and brighter iMac display and faster performance. In terms of memory, the 21.5-inch model now can be configured with up to 32GB of RAM, while for the 27-inch high-end variant, it can be customized with up to 64GB of RAM.
Apple says its new iMac Pro is its "most powerful Mac" and will cost $4,999.
The new iMac line has the "best Mac displays ever", according to Apple, at 500 nits. This will be our fastest and most powerful Mac ever, which brings workstation-class computing to iMac for the first time . Along with the new iMacs, Apple wanted to build something for Pro users who might need more.
Featuring next-generation Intel Xeon processors up to 18 cores, iMac Pro is created to handle the most demanding pro workflows. "iMac Pro packs incredible performance for advanced graphics editing, virtual reality content creation and real-time 3D rendering", writes Apple.
The new iPad Pro can show a full-screen keyboard.
The iMac range now starts at Rs. 90,900 for the 21.5-inch non-Retina model, a price drop of Rs. 1,000, though you do get newer internals. "This allows for the iMac Pro to run an additional 2 5K displays (the built in display is a 27" 5K beauty) and two external drive arrays. What's more, Apple's new ProMotion technology enables refresh rates of up to 120Hz for an incredibly smooth graphical experience. It features an all-new thermal design that can cool the desktop more efficiently without compromising thickness. Don't get caught in the trivial aspects of life. "Don't listen to the trolls, and for God's sake don't become one", Cook added. He said Francis told him, "Never has humanity had such power over itself, yet nothing ensures that it will be used wisely".
Around back, the iPad Pro gets a new camera (a camera on a tablet - pointless, I know).
Pricing for the two entry-level Wi-Fi 12.9-inch iPad Pro models remains unchanged, though you get double the storage.
