The Complete Ubisoft E3 2017 Recap

16 June 2017

The decision to close the show on Beyond Good and Evil 2 was also a real crowd-pleaser: "Finally, with the showing of the long-awaited sequel Beyond Good and Evil 2, Ubisoft reminded everyone of its calibre as an global games publisher".

In many ways, Far Cry 5 was probably Ubisoft's most-hyped title coming into E3 2017. Players can play as Mario characters like the iconic plumber Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Peach, as well as Rabbids dressed like characters from the Mushroom Kingdom. From what it looks like you can still explore the whole of America but this time, by boat, bike, plane and cars. You can register for The Crew 2 beta at until the game's 2018 release.

After a short trailer for the game, Ubisoft switched to a look at some gameplay. If you're a fan of South Park this should be right up your alley. There was a new demo for Days Gone, the zombie game announced past year that showed off more of the human enemies that are as much of a threat as the freakers.

Blimp Crashes and Burns at Wisconsin Golf Tournament
World No 5 Jordan Spieth, the 2015 US Open victor at then rookie host Chambers Bay, has dropped to at one-over (through 15). Brooks Koepka , Tommy Fleetwood and Brian Harman were at 67, with Patrick Reed and Adam Hadwin in the group at 68.

Ubisoft's 2017 online extreme sports title Steep will see its first round of add-on content on December 5 with Steep: Road to the Olympics.

Ever wanted to play another South Park game with a hilariously sarcastic superhero theme?

We already know about the likes of Far Cry 5, the new Assassin's Creed and The Crew 2. The Crew 2 will release in early 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, with beta access coming soon.

At the movies: 'Cars 3' steers a welcome if imperfect gender shift
However, Cars 3 proved to be a pleasant surprise with several heart-warming moments and some surprise twists. The ultimate message is decent despite the way the film reaches that message in a rather disjointed fashion.

Another most expected game in the E3 is "The Last Night" that looks promising by its trailer. One a more toy-centric note, Starlink: Battle for Atlas is set to release in 2018. Pop singer Bebe Rexha performed her single The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody) onstage to announce Just Dance 2018, with an October release window. A few allies were also revealed including Grace Armstrong (sniper), Boomer (gun-fetching dog) and Nick Rye (pilot that attacks from above).

The biggest reveal of the show, Beyond Good and Evil 2's trailer is sure to please fans who've been waiting almost fifteen years for a sequel to the 2003 game.

E3's penultimate conference may have been one of its very best.

Jurors hear Cosby's side of alleged sexual assault for first time
The drug was created as a sleep aid, said Timothy Rohrig, and is still available with a prescription in some countries. Cosby's explanation was contained in a deposition he gave over a decade ago as part of a lawsuit filed by Ms Constand.

Jump to 58.17 in the video below (I'd do it myself, but that seems to make videos auto-play, which isn't cool!) to check out the full Ubisoft E3 2017 conference. It looks reminiscent of the Batman: Arkham games with a touch of Sunset Overdrive, not surprising since Insomniac Games developed the latter. You can change the responsive controller-connected accessories to update the parts and weapons of the spaceships in-game.
