In at least a temporary reversal of one of his most vile campaign promises, Donald Trump has apparently made a decision to allow DREAMers - young people who were brought here illegally by their parents as children - to stay in the country, at least for the time being.
"We hope President Trump now will keep his entire promise by ordering an end to the Obama Administration's other unconstitutional amnesty, the DACA program which continues to issues new work permits to those here illegally", Chmielenski said.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) ended the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) program yesterday (June 15)-before undocumented parents had a chance to take advantage of it.
Trump's lawyer denies he's being investigated
You could nearly hear the groan coming from anti-Trump liberals who were so looking forward to the coming impeachment trial. The president fired back over Twitter and at a news conference, claiming that some of the things Comey said weren't true.

We don't really know what he's going to do", said Maria, referring to Thursday's announcement by the Trump administration to continue the 5-year program granting temporary legal status to about 800,000 people. These are immigrants who arrived here before age 16, and in many cases much younger, and have not been convicted of multiple or serious crimes.
"But my future is still in their hands and undecided", she said.
Immigration lawyer David Leopold commented, "This is a big victory for Dreamers amid months of draconian and mean-spirited immigration enforcement policy". DACA allows these young, undocumented immigrants to obtain work permits and drivers licenses, and protects them from deportation.

After the news that the DACA program would remain in force broke out, reactions started pouring in from both sides of the#Immigration debate.
The DACA program stipulates measures that would protect young immigrants while Congress considers wider immigration legislation that will be ringing about the desired changes to the DACA legislation.
The Trump DHS did revoke a never-implemented Obama program that would have expanded DACA rights to parents of minors brought into the country illegally.
President Trump's administration officially canceled an immigration program that was proposed during the Obama-era.
