Money laundering case: CBI reaches Satyendra Jain's residence

On Monday, the central investigation agency, CBI questioned the wife of Delhi's health minister Satyendra Jain in a money laundering case. The CBI had questioned the minister on June 1 and 2.

The CBI denied there was any raid or search at Sisodia's residence and said a team of officers went there to record his statement. Another day, another raid!

The CBI had registered three preliminary inquiries against Jain. The Delhi minister is alleged to be involved in money laundering to the tune of Rs 4.63 crore while he was a public servant in 2015-16.

Mr. Jain had dismissed the allegations after the Enforcement Directorate last month attached properties linked to him in the matter. A preliminary enquiry is the first step by the CBI to gather information about the allegations. Besides, there are allegations that Jain had laundered another Rs 11.78 crore during 2010-12 through these companies and Indometal Impex Pvt Limited, according to India Today.
