Josh Jackson made Celtics fly across the country for no reason

24 June 2017

Josh Jackson, the Kansas freshman whose defensive versatility has impressed many a scout, did not work out for the Celtics, possibly reducing their chances of drafting him.

The Boston Celtics pick third, and team exec Danny Ainge said after the Philadelphia trade that his team could select the same player there that they would have taken at the top, leading some to suspect Tatum could be the target here.

Jackson, a 6-foot-8 forward, played three seasons in Chapel Hill and was named the ACC Player of the Year last season after averaging 18.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.

That's in the hope that some of those who may be too scared to provide information can be persuaded to come forward. McCormack said the Metropolitan Police was "looking at every criminal offence from manslaughter onwards".

But Jackson apparently doesn't want to become a Celtic and reportedly has refused to work out for the organization without an assurance that he will be chosen by them and not traded.

"Even the Brooklyn deal (the Celtics made in 2013) was more reasonable than that", the source said, comparing Jackson's asking price for Porzingis to the infamous deal that netted the Celtics three Nets first-rounders and the right to swap this year, plus players, in exchange for Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry. "Went at a high tempo, but when he missed a shot he never showed anything but resolve to make the next one". "I'm going to come in, compete - that's what I do - and look forward to the future". The Celtics instead stuck to their draft plan and secured a player who, according to fellow Blue Devil alumnus/team owner Steve Pagliuca, the team has long prized.

The real intrigue, however, may be that Tatum will now forever be compared to Markelle Fultz, the top overall pick and the player the Celtics could have selected had they not traded the pick to the 76ers.

The local authority areas with buildings that failed tests include Manchester, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Hounslow, Brent and Camden. The council announced on Saturday that people who had paid for accommodation they had organised themselves would be reimbursed.

Ainge said after the draft that he tried not to let the snub affect his thinking, and that Tatum was his pick all along, and maybe that's true.

"I think that, in this kind of position-less league, those guys are really valuable", Stevens said.

Dwight Howard on the move again: Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the one-time Superman of the National Basketball Association will be playing for his third team in three seasons, as his hometown Atlanta Hawks traded him and the 31st overall selection to the Charlotte Hornets for Miles Plumlee, Marco Belenelli, and the 41st overall pick. "Jayson Tatum, from Duke University".

Surprise, surprise: Cristiano Ronaldo may stay at Real Madrid
Di Maria moved to Real Madrid in 2010 and quit the club for United four years later, staying just a year in England before moving to Paris.

He turned out to be correct. Ainge said he was upset about the last-minute cancellation, but that they didn't hold it against him. Stevens said the Utah and Vegas Summer Leagues will provide Tatum and the other Boston rookies a chance to learn what life will be like in the National Basketball Association, from the daily routine to filling their down time properly on off days. "They canceled a workout on us when we flew out to Sacramento and they just chose to cancel it as we flew - it was Brad and I and Mike Zarren, it was cross-country". In spite of that, we've watched Josh for two years and we're fans.
