THEIR TIME TO SHINE: With so much trade speculation about All-Stars such as Paul George and Jimmy Butler, there hasn't been as much focus as usual leading into Thursday on the players who are in the draft.
With less than 36 hours until the NBA Draft, trade rumors are flying around faster than ever and teams are swapping assets with other teams to prepare themselves for the draft tomorrow night.
Jackson addressed his initial refusal to work out for the Celts when they had the top pick and then the failure to set up a session once they had dropped to No. 3.
Vilsack speaks out on GOP Senate health care plan
It nearly didn't matter what was in the AHCA; its passage was created to allow the Senate to conjure up a more "refined" version. Senate Republicans have released their supposed ObamaCare-repeal bill, the " Better Care Reconciliation Act ".
Tatum and the Celtics seem to have more familiarity, with the 6-foot-8 swingman believing he'd be a good fit on the roster of the team that had the best record in the Eastern Conference.
In addition, major trades within the National Basketball Association are apparently underway, with big names like D'Angelo Russell, Brook Lopez, Paul George, and Jimmy Butler being tossed around. Ask any coach, player or scout about him, and you can bet that one of the first things they will talk about is his pit-bull mentality - Jackson simply wants to win at all costs. "Quite honestly, I thought that he was going to be traded last summer", said Ainge.
Ford previously reported Boston had Jackson and Tatum in the "same tier" as Fultz and Lonzo Ball.
With that in mind, here are a few things I'm expecting to see and/or hear tonight and a quick prediction for where Jackson and Frank Mason III will wind up. Boston had hoped to work out Jackson on Tuesday, but the workout never happened. He already played a lot of power forward at Duke and he should follow that path in Boston.
Rep. Steve Scalise moved out of ICU
He has received several surgeries since he arrived at the hospital, when doctors said he was at immediate risk of death. He also suffered damage to a number of internal organs, which doctors have declined to discuss in detail.
The Celtics have been high on Tatum throughout the draft process, and had him in for a private workout late last week. He worked out for the team on Monday, and experts say general manager Danny Ainge appears to be leaning toward drafting him. "But they know more than I do, so when they called me for a workout, I was, 'Sure.' I was excited".
Let's review the possibilities and what's driving the market, with the caveat that, this close to any draft, accurate tea leaves can be hard to find.
This post will be updated throughout the day, so stay tuned.
