The document signed by Mr Williamson and Sir Jeffrey says that the DUP's support in votes which are not covered by the supply and confidence agreement will be agreed "on a case-by-case basis".

The deal could act as an incentive for Northern Ireland's political parties to return to the country's Parliament after months of deadlock over the power-sharing assembly.

The agreement covers the length of the Parliament but will be reviewed after each session.
