Andy Murray has been knocked out of Wimbledon

13 July 2017

Novak Djokovic, the second seed, also found himself eliminated when he retired from his match against Tomas Berdych with an arm injury.

Three-time victor Djokovic also exited the tournament as he retired hurt when trailing 7-6, 2-0 to 2010 finalist Tomáš Berdych of the Czech Republic. Earlier this year, Murray demolished Querrey at the Australian Open, 6-4, 6-2, 6-4, which is what is expected to be the outcome tonight.

Djokovic stopped the quarterfinal match while trailing 7-6 (2), 2-0.

Federer first reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals in 2001 and then won the first of five straight titles in 2003.

Other members of the Fila tennis family include fellow American star John Isner and Marin Cilic. In that second set, Murray broke No. 24 Querrey to take a 4-3 lead but then American broke back, held and broke again for the win. Cilic won 17-15 in the fifth set. Venus Williams may not have won any but she has reached the semi-finals twice and final once in Grand Slam tournaments.

One wild fire destroyed about 30 homes and two airport hangars near the town of Cache Creek 354 km northeast of Vancouver. There are four fires burning on the east side of Arrow Lake, from five kilometres to 21 kilometres southeast of Burton.

He would win 12 of the match's final 14 games, taking advantage of a clearly-hobbled Murray to stun the British crowd and knock out the defending champion.

Querrey's path to the Finals won't get any easier - he'll play the victor of Marin Cilic (7) and Gilles Muller (16) next.

Meanwhile, Andy Murray was defeated by Sam Querrey in five long sets, but we do not think that the outcome would be the same if Murray didn't have troubles with his hip.

Murray had been struggling with a hip injury before the Wimbledon championships, and had to cancel two exhibition matches as he tried to recover from the problem.

Murray, a two-time champion at the All England Club, has been limping over the last couple of sets.

However, Everton have already signed Dutch worldwide Davy Klaassen and already have Ross Barkley, Tom Davies and Yannick Bolasie who can play in those positions.

The first sensation of the day was when Andy Murray lost against Sam Querrey 3:6, 6:4, 6:7 (4), 6:1, 6:1.

The men's semifinals will take place on Friday, with the women's final on Saturday and the men's final closing things out on Sunday.

The 2017 Acapulco champion Querrey is now set to play against the victor between Croatian Marin Cilic and Gilles Muller of Luxembourg.

Beating Murray was even bigger, as it meant toppling a national hero before a full royal box at Centre Court.

Wimbledon: Murray out, Mueller out of gas
Murray was cruising at 6-1 but Querrey saved three set points before the Scot took it on the fourth, winning the tie-break 7-4. The final score still results in a convincing win for Murray though, with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 victory ensuing.
