While UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath went to the state assembly to cast his vote for the President along with all his MLAs, Shivpal fueling the Samajwadi feud announced that around 15 MLA's from the party voted for the BJP candidate.

WITH just ten days to go before President Pranab Mukherjee's term expires, the stage is set for the voting in presidential election on Monday for a poll that is tilted in the favour of the ruling BJP-led NDA coalition. Ramnath Kovind is a leader and politician of BJP and he was nominated for Presidential election. He is pitted against opposition's nominee Meira Kumar.

Almost 95 candidates appeared for the Presidential election.

As the Presidential Elections 2017 is underway, Congress-led Opposition Nominee Meira Kumar stated that her battle is of ideologies and she has urged the collegiums to listen to their conscience for the best interest of the country.

Another Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge appealed all leaders to vote as per their conscience. Apart from Mr Kumar, BJP chief Amit Shah and finance minister Arun Jaitley also addressed the MPs. "Hope the electoral college picks the custodian of India's Constitution thoughtfully".
