Pop review: Kesha: Rainbow

12 August 2017

On "Rainbow", Kesha's first new music since she featured on the rapper Pitbull's twang-hop hit "Timber" in 2013, there's no question who the enemy is: Dr. Luke, the hitmaker who shepherded all of her prior releases. Kesha celebrates the release of Rainbow with a performance of The Tonight Show Thursday night.

It looks as if the world feels the same, because her new album Rainbow, shot to #1 on the all-genre album sales chart on iTunes. Kesha has made it clear that what didn't kill her has made her one of the most powerful and savvy performers on the planet.

It's been five years and one long legal battle since Kesha has released an album.

Jose Mourinho insists Manchester United's transfer activity is sufficient
Chelsea will begin their title defence without Eden Hazard and new signing Tiemoue Bakayoko, who are both injured. You are not only improving United in defensive midfield , you are making Pogba better, [Ander] Herrera better.

Speaking her truth. Kesha became emotional while explaining the significance behind her new album, Rainbow.

There are shades of the pop singer who gave fans 2010′s "Animal" and its 2012 follow-up "Warrior", the raucous partier who loves Gold Trans Ams and brushing her teeth with whiskey. "Recently, I feel like I've gone through some things that have felt like a storm in my life", she wrote. "So it's very special for us and I hope it's really special for you guys".

Kesha's mum, a Nashville songwriter who enjoyed some success in the Eighties, is credited again on the cornily titled country number Old Flames (Can't Hold A Candle To You).

Ezekiel Elliott's suspension could cost him almost $1.5 million
In the weeks following the allegations, Elliott said he had text messages proving he was being set up. Elliott is the third Cowboys player who will miss time this season because of a suspension.

Kesha has experienced a string of setbacks in her case against Dr. Luke since filing her lawsuit, preventing the singer from escaping her contract with the record label boss as she originally hoped.

"The bad news is", she said, "you almost killed yourself on the road to success, fuelled by fear of failure, crippling anxiety, and insecurity".

Kesha get emotional during a appearance on Good Morning America in New York City on Wednesday as she examined the anticipated arrival of her most recent LP, Rainbow. At other points, you clearly aren't: the opening track is unambiguously titled Bastards, there's a splenetic force to the lyrics of Praying and Let 'Em Talk that pushes them into a different realm than the usual pop-star complaints about haters.

Braille book gives everyone a feel of the solar eclipse
So for an eclipse to occur, the moon must land on a specific point where the moon's orbit intersects the earth's orbit. Social media activity has been increasing for months now, building up the anticipation to be part of this rare event.
