Donald Trump campaign chief 'offered to brief' Russian billionaire on presidential race

22 September 2017

There is no evidence in the documents showing that Deripaska received Manafort's offer or that any briefings took place.

Recent developments, however, prove otherwise.

The government eavesdropping continued into 2017, including a period when Manafort was known to talk to Trump after he became president. "Most importantly, did they lie?"

"Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my "wires tapped" in Trump Tower just before the victory".

"Please pay careful attention to the words used ..." Responding to Trump's tweets, Clapper told host Chuck Todd, "I can deny it".

More involved than we thought ...

There is nothing new here about McCain's conduct; details of the Deripaska meetings were reported during his 2008 presidential campaign.

Gold hits three-week low; Fed rate hike outlook weighs
Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, the Fed noted, could have an effect on the economy, particularly inflation, in the short-term. Overnight, US stocks ended mixed after the Fed signalled a December rate increase is back on the table.

The July 7, 2016, email came a little over a week before the Republican National Convention, while Manafort was leading the Trump campaign's day-to-day operations.

According to a March report in the Associated Press, Manafort secretly worked for Deripaska before signing with Trump's campaign.

Manafort has traveled to the Kurdistan region since he was approached by an intermediary for the Iraqi Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani's son, the newspaper reported.

Is it possible the president was picked up in a conversation with Paul Manafort? Manafort wrote to an employee based in Kiev, referring to his prominent new role in Trump's campaign.

That is not how FISA warrants work. I can't say- obviously, I'm not, I can't speak officially anymore.

Another news source for the Left is adding to the narrative on the scandal.

In July, FBI agents raided his home in Virginia and gathered documents. As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any USA citizen.

Trump restates support for Luther Strange ahead of Alabama election
And for two conservative Republicans who share a similar policy similar agenda, the debate often turned personal and nasty. Supporters cheered for the former Chief Justice as he exited the bus holding signs and waving flags.

Former FBI Director James Comey, who later was sacked by Trump and now is under investigation himself, told associates in March that Trump was "crazy" and "outside the realm of normal" for suggesting his predecessor used a secret hot mic to surveil him. But it was news about Manafort this week that gave a boost to two theories that close watchers of the Russian Federation investigation have been hyping as potentially earth-shattering.

This could mean one of several things.

The possible outcomes of the Russian Federation investigation have always been wildly divergent. "However, in a politically charged atmosphere like Washington, he said some could be trying to make whatever evidence is in hand fit a political goal".

But this week was a good one for Trump-Russia-conspiracy theorists. But the emails will certainly be of interest in the multiple investigations into whether the Trump team colluded with the Russian government in the 2016 election. "There's all kinds of factors and considerations that go into it".

For now, Manafort is a man caught in the middle with a lot to answer for. Of course, Lewandowski's shtick here is predicated on the idea President Trump was unaware of any-still hypothetical-collusion going on within his campaign.

"The probe was discontinued at some point last year for lack of evidence but the Federal Bureau of Investigation restarted it after obtaining a new FISA warrant that extended at least into early this year".

Fed to start unwinding bond portfolio
But continuing ultra-low interest rates or bond-purchase programs for too long could spark a sudden and sharp increase in prices. Nonetheless, inflation continues to stay well below the European Central Bank's target of "below, but close to 2 percent".
