On to the next game for ´proud´ Tottenham record-breaker Kane

Mauricio Pochettino believes Harry Kane can break the number of Premier League goals scored in one season following his second-half brace in Tottenham's 4-0 dismantling of Everton.

Having already beaten Alan Shearer's calendar-year record for the most Premier League goals (39), the England worldwide also has two successive Golden Boots and has just equalled the all-time record for the number of Premier League Player of the Month awards, as his sixth has taken him level with Steven Gerrard.

"But then again I reverted back to our Liverpool performance".

"All of the players on the pitch were trying to score and win and if we can score one, we want two and then three and then four, but I think we are now in the same position as Liverpool".

"He's such a talented player, so professional and I'm very happy". He deserves all the credit and a lot of praise.

Kane bagged his 97th and 98th top-flight goals for Spurs against a worryingly off-colour Everton to surpass Teddy Sheringham as the north London club's all-time leading scorer in the Premier League.

Son could have added the third in the 58th minute, collecting a cross-field pass from Kane before cutting across the top of the box and striking, but his thunderous effort thrashed against the woodwork before going wide, although Kane made sure to net another Spurs goal a minute later.

Tottenham hammered Everton 4-0 in a game that saw Harry Kane become their record goalscorer in the Premier League.

Apart from Wayne Rooney having a header ruled out for offside, at no stage did they ever look capable of doing something.

The home side found themselves ahead inside 30 minutes when lax defending from Cuco Martina and Phil Jagielka allowed Son Heung-min to tap in from close range. All that we showed today, we must [show] in every game we play, every week.

Saturday's final game sees Tottenham host Everton in a game that both teams desperately need to win.

However, Sam Allardyce has made the Merseysiders hard to beat again since taking over so he'll be hoping to continue his fine start to life at Everton with another positive result this weekend.

"I can't excuse our capitulation after we went 2-0 down..."

"I might have been offside [for his first] but sometimes you get them sometimes you don't". After a fine run of unbeaten games under Big Sam, the Toffees have now lost three in a row and are winless in five games.
