West Ham identify fan who provoked West Brom's Livermore

14 January 2018

Video footage has emerged which shows the West Brom midfielder involved in a confrontation as he was being substituted in the 64th minute.

He was eventually restrained by stewards close to the dugouts.

Both clubs are now working together to grasp what really happened.

West Brom say the reason Jake Livermore confronted a West Ham fan was because of a comment made about the death of his infant son.

Livermore said in an interview back in 2015, that he heard his son make a whimper as he offered these comments: "I heard him cry faintly and said to Danielle: "Everything's going to be OK".

The fan is understood to have shouted to Livermore, and an investigation is under way to establish whether he directed abuse about Livermore's baby son, who died in 2014.

That was just two short months ago, yet the Winston Reid who played against WBA, now looks down on confidence.

Salomon Rondon, one of those four changes from the Arsenal game, nearly gave West Brom an early lead when he spun away from Angelo Ogbonna and, as Winston Reid hesitated, lofted the ball over Adrian and onto the roof of the net.

Hawaii officials mistakenly warn of inbound missile
John Peterson sent out a tweet at 8:28 a.m. saying that he was "under mattresses in the bathtub with my wife, baby and in laws". David Ige, the governor of Hawaii , said the accidental alert was "unfortunate" and "regrettable" and apologised to Hawaiians.

Two goals from Andy Carroll lifted the Hammers out of the bottom three.

The Geordie striker bagged a second-half brace as the East Londoners recovered after falling behind to James McClean's looping effort, and Moyes was quick to heap praise on his number nine: "Two great goals, wow, the Scotsman said". I was a centre-half and I don't think you can stop that. We gave it away easily at times and were inviting trouble.

It was a characteristic under Bilic, but seems to have fallen away slightly under Moyes, however slow starts to matches can be fatal and we were lucky to get the three points we needed from this game. "I'll speak to Jake and we'll go from there".

It's hard when you come on for the last 20 minutes. It was a goal that only he could have scored, not quite as good as that famous leap against Sweden in Euro 2012, but not far off.

Bulldogs Surge Late to Win Rose Bowl and National Bid
Marquise Brown ended with eight catches for 114 yards. "I didn't make the throws I normally make, and it showed", he said. Georgia blocked Oklahoma's attempt at a field goal and only needed a field goal to win it.

Pardew has also called for more protection around the dug-outs for players and coaching staff in light of the altercation. We had players hanging at the end.

"It's very evident on the pitch because we lose Matt Phillips in the warm-up, my most influential player offensively".

Five still missing after deadly floods sweep through California community
The Federal Emergency Management Agency warned that homes in California that had never been flooded before were also at risk now. In another, she wades through the mud in her backyard to show that it's nearly as high as the tops of her rain boots.
