One negative review has broken "Black Panther's" 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. But Blade remains the only hero of colour to ever receive the same treatment - probably only because Marvel started developing it in the 90s when vampires were all the rage (thanks, Buffy).

An Afro-centric superhero film has been a long time coming, and it's worth the ticket price just to see this landmark event in mainstream action cinema. They help carry the throne and movie to royalty as director Ryan Coogler coaches these women toward profound achievement. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release Black Panther's full power to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

"Black Panther", the first black standalone Marvel superhero movie, won rave reviews Tuesday, with critics praising both its adventure and its portrayal of a majestic Africa, according to Reuters.
