Google Pay is now available for Android

The new app for Android devices combines Android Pay and Google Wallet into one service.

"You'll still get all your bank's perks and protections, plus an extra layer of security, since Google Pay doesn't share your actual card number when you pay in stores". There's even a shiny new app to go along with the new branding.

Before Google Pay, Google's payments platforms ran the gamut. Looking back at the Google Play Store's history, this application was known as the Android Market when the Android OS was first launched. The company hints that this will cover more cities in the coming days.

Google rolled out today a new Google Pay on Android that brings Google Pay to all Google products, including Chrome and Google Assistant.

Since you're often operating the dialer with one hand, it makes sense t have buttons at the bottom where they're more easily accessed. And the Cards tab provides a hub for information about all of a user's credit and debit cards, active gift cards, and loyalty programs. Google Pay will handle both functions.
