In the week since the fatal accident that has shocked the nascent autonomous vehicle industry, increasing scrutiny has grown on the performance of Uber's vehicles, regulatory issues and the risks associated with public trials.
Arizona is one of the friendliest USA states to auto and technology businesses looking for someplace to give driverless cars experience on public roads. "Uber didn't really start until about 2016.They're years behind". On the vehicle, it is the little dome or cylinder that sits on the very top.
With its testing locus in Arizona, Uber made a decision to terminate the test on its autonomous vehicles until it can discover whether the system has a fault or not. Khosrowshahi's trip was called "Milestone 1: Confidence" in the company documents. Though there is blame on a Google spinoff known as Waymo, Uber should concentrate on their system as well for a better future of their autonomous cars.
Texas Tech uses its depth to sink Purdue
But what perhaps caught the Boilermakers by surprise was the versatility of the Red Raiders' offense. Tech used an 11-0 run, including a 3-pointer from Keenan Evans to build a 69-55 lead with 2:08 left.
As a result of the accident, Uber suspended its self-driving tests which it had been conducting in Tempe, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, and Toronto, Canada. It is not clear when the company will revive them.
Police are still investigating the fatal crash, but the whole incident has sparked debate over who's to blame.
The decision comes a week after an Uber driverless auto hit and killed Elaine Herzberg in Tempe, Arizona.

The video shows the human backup driver in the SUV looking down until seconds before the crash. On Monday, the chipmaker showed that its own driver assistance technology could have helped avoid the accident.
"Cities might be less willing to work with Uber", Abuelsamid said. "Uber is assisting and this is still an active investigation". In December 2016, he urged Uber to move its California testing to Arizona after California revoked the company's permits over an unpaid permit fee. There are few federal rules governing the testing of autonomous cars.
Waymo - the self-driving auto division of Google's parent company, Alphabet - also actively tests its autonomous vehicles in the state. "If you can lower that cost by making it autonomous, then Uber goes from being the company that lost the most amount of money as a private company to becoming incredibly profitable". This was after a self-driving auto overturned on its side in Arizona.
Uber's first road tests in its self-driving vehicle effort, code-named Project Roadrunner, were actually in Pittsburgh last September.
