"A Quiet Place" tops North American box office in opening weekend

Internationally, the Spielberg-directed film has earned $294.4 million, with release still forthcoming in Japan. Since its debut at South by Southwest, A Quiet Place has garnered rave reviews. As the man attempts to get rid of the intruders, things start to get violent and you eventually realize that he might have ulterior motives for getting them out of his house.

A horror movie called "A Quiet Place" made some noise at the cineplex ticket booths this weekend, and "rang up a thunderous $50 million debut", a movie analyst said Sunday. An additional $8.4 million brings the film's domestic total to $665.3 million, edging out "Titanic" and making it the third highest-grossing domestic release of all time.

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, real-life married couple and stars of the current hit horror film A Quiet Place, have both tried out for MCU roles in the past, and say that in retrospect are glad that they did not get them.

"I think you could continue down one path that's very obvious, or you could spin off into a completely unexpected direction". Until then, however, you should really check out A Quiet Place if you haven't already done so, as it truly is an excellent film and will no doubt go down as one of 2018's best. It also earned a "B+" from moviegoers on CinemaScore and a solid 97 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

These celebrities weren't the only ones to go out and see the film.

"In an era of distracted viewing when cinemagoers often treat cineplexes as extensions of their living rooms, John Krasinski's hushed thriller not only compels active viewing but rewards it - or make that active listening", Slate reviewer Sam Adams wrote.

Whether Krasinski or the rest of the cast would return is another matter entirely.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are now at the top of the box office thanks to "A Quiet Place".

Particularly those with surprisingly comedic origins.

The open-ended conclusion of A Quiet Place offers plenty of options to follow the characters we met in the first movie, but Woods wouldn't be against telling the story of an entirely different family battling the same creatures in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
