Ehrenreich is also receiving generally positive marks, though many are quick to point out he's still no Ford.
This one gets us there admirably enough, with an unfussy style befitting the scrappy younger sibling to a big-bad franchise.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) - Fan Score: 87 percent. We also get more insight into the character as we find out behind the ladies' man show, he was raised by a strong apparently single mother.
Kate Erbland at IndieWire gave the film a B+, saying it "captures a humor and pace Star Wars audiences expect". Old-school fans will love it.
Syria: Iran says Israeli strikes 'violation of sovereignty'
But the chairman of Iran's parliamentary committee on foreign affairs condemned Israel for carrying out the strikes in Syria . It was also a rare acknowledgement of an Israeli assault. "We will not allow Iran to entrench itself in Syria ".
The Rotten Tomatoes tomatometer now has Solo sitting at a good, not great, 72%, a number that's expected to change as we get closer to the release date. Your mileage may vary, but it took this reviewer about seven minutes to decide she was fully on board with this version of Han. It's not enough to hide the obvious ideological problem of willfully retreating to childhood in the face of real-world problems, nor the consolidated efforts of an unwieldy and arch-conservative private company to make said retreat into a national pastime; Solo's best moments are nearly entertaining enough to make you forget about all that. I won't spoil where it goes from there, but rest assured numerous plot beats are easy to predict if you're at all familiar with Star Wars lore, though the movie does indeed save a couple of big surprises for its third act.
The cast also gets plenty of praise from Variety, as does the story's "moments of real grit and something approaching interstellar realism amid all of the expectedly topnotch VFX".
Just about everything is rendered in mud-brown or concrete-gray. Han Solo is a roguish, daring character. Unlike the wildly uneven tone of Justice League, where two directors brought different visions together, Solo has none of those seams. You can't help but wonder what the end result would have been if Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who were fired deep into production, had gotten to see their project through to the end, or what it would have been like had Howard been involved since the beginning, but there are no obvious cracks or seams. You can see a little bit, but it's certainly not almost as egregious as Justice League, the new gold standard of Frankensteined blockbusters.
Royal Challengers Bangalore trounce Punjab by 10 wickets
The best RCB can reach is 14 points where they can tie with other sides and race ahead by virtue of a positive NRR. Umesh had already put the KXIP on the back foot by striking twice in the 4th over sending both their openers back.
Instead, it alternates between exploring characters, relationships, and events that we don't already know about, and explaining every little detail ever established about its hero.
Han Solo is an iconic character, and since we first met him back in 1977, the character has always been Harrison Ford's. I want to know what happens to the other characters set on their trajectories. And there was only one instance of audible laughter, when Lando (Glover) told Han that he hated him.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge's L3-37, a self-made robot who is woke. In fact, it felt more muddled than before. By the end, it becomes hard to keep track of some of these people - what they want, what they're trying to accomplish, why they're doing whatever they're doing. This is how Solo was before the galaxy chewed up all the youthful optimism he had about life and spit him back out. The movie takes us to the fringes of the Empire where smugglers, spacefaring gangsters, and other shadowy operators ply their wares and run their schemes without attracting too much Imperial attention. The emotional beats hit. By the end of the movie, Han is just one half-step closer to becoming the well-coiffed casual renegade the world fell in love with in the original Star Wars.
Why Deadpool Will Never Join the Avengers or X-Men Onscreen
Deadpool 2 begins with a huge dig on Logan with a bit of foreshadowing and later followed by a truly amusing credits sequence. The creator of Deadpool , as well as Cable and others seen in the movie - Rob Liefeld, weighed in as well.
