After 80 ducklings die there, Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool to be drained


The pool sits in front of the famous Lincoln Memorial and near the long, low, black wall of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The draining will begin Sunday and the Park Service hopes to reopen the pool on June 19. The service said it will check the pool's water to avoid another incident. On Tuesday, crews will begin cleaning the interior. It's not contagious and rarely requires medical treatment, but it's uncomfortable. Read More »
